Very recently I visited Lyme House and Garden a beautiful National Trust estate in the heart of Cheshire. It consists of a large mansion house surrounded by amazing gardens. As you can imagine there is a lot of history behind the estate, a fascinating and wonderful story about a glorious House. Travelling and wondering around National Trust properties is one of my favourite things to do on weekends. It fascinates me that there are so many great places so close to your front door. Discovering the National Trust has encouraged me to get out and about more and enjoy the beautiful historical places and nature around me.
As a student at school, I studied History and I 100% enjoyed it! Learning about new and exciting things always interested me and learning so much information about past, present and future was a highlight of my History learning days. The National Trust is a charity that focuses on restoration and preservation of places of historical interest, nature and beauty. The charity raise their money through private subscriptions of their memberships, which are really inexpensive, their outstanding shops and donations made via the public.
